The Sandra R. Berman Pavilion

The Sandra R. Berman Pavilion will become the new home of the Sandra and Malcolm Berman Cancer Institute at GBMC, and will consolidate all cancer care services for the convenience of our oncology patients.

Expected Completion: 2025
The Sandra R. Berman Pavilion will provide symptom management in a central location for more than 2,000 cancer patients annually.
The new space will consolidate cancer care services in one state-of-the-art facility for convenience and collaboration.
Every step—from diagnosis to treatment to survivorship—is designed for each patient and their specific needs.
With its expert providers, thriving survivorship program, and more clinical trials than any other community hospital in the region, we marry innovative medicine and research with a personalized approach to care.
What can also be left unaddressed is the toll treatment takes on a patient outside the hospital. The GBMC Oncology Support Services team provides support for the whole person and their caregivers, free of charge.
In the new Infusion Center, we will have 10 private rooms, two isolation rooms, and 14 infusion stations in more open areas so patients can choose levels of privacy.
Chair of Medicine, Dr. Melvin Blanchard

The Promise I Make ...

The Promise Project is about providing a better experience for the patient, making it easier for teams to function in the environment for care delivery – nurses and all other disciplines. I do believe that having the right physical environment helps the team function better and deliver better care.

The Most Advanced Facility of its Kind.

As we plan for the optimization of our hospital, we are incorporating lessons learned as a result of COVID-19. Now, we will also have the most advanced facility for large-scale emergencies. We will come out of this stronger and more prepared than before as we build on GBMC’s strengths, together.

We Can't Do It Alone.
